Mission
The Mission of the Hellenic Medical Society of Philadelphia is to unite physicians and health care professionals of Hellenic heritage in an effort to foster, promote and support medical, research, educational and cultural programs of the highest possible standards that will enrich the quality of life of the individual and the community of greater Philadelphia.”
The goals of the HMS are to:
a) Serve as a forum for “Networking and Fellowship” among health care professionals within the Hellenic community as well as informing the community at large of Hellenic health care professionals.
b) “Scholarship” support for students of Hellenic descent who are pursuing careers in health care fields.
c) Support “Philanthropic” missions both locally and internationally; locally through HMS Philadelphia’s Community Service Initiative and internationally though causes such as Hellenicare.
